Package: wims
Version: 4.01e-1
Severity: normal

Hello Georges,

Wims includes a file /usr/share/doc/wims/Readme.Debian.
However this file should be named 'README.Debian' to follow standard practice.

Furthermore this file includes an section about editing the source package. The
content of this section seems obsolete since the package does not use dpatch
anymore, and the Debian policy requires that information about the source
package
be in a file 'debian/README.source' in the source package, and not in the binary
package.

I think the file README.Debian should include more information to help new wims
user:
1) states that the URL is http://<servername>/wims
2) states that email will be send to the wims user, so the administrator
can add an alias in /etc/aliases to redirect such email to the wims
administrator
mailbox.
3) wims recommends/suggests a number of packages:
yacas, gap, wims-extra-all, wims-extra, wims-java-applets
It would be useful to explain what functionalities theses packages provides to
wims,
so users would know if they need to install them.
4) Maybe some hints about how to start using the system.
It seems the internal search engine does not find anything in the default
configuration.

Cheers
