Hi Andrew, I am currently looking into a problem with the k3b dependencies and I was wondering if you would have any objections to changing the priority of cdrdao from "extra" to "optional".
The main reason for this is to allow front-ends which have a priority of "optional" to depend on cdrdao. Such packages currently include "burn", "gnomebaker" and "k3b". In the case of k3b for example, the lack of cdrdao reduces the fonctionalities of the program so much that many users feel k3b should depend on it, however Debian Policy [1] prevents packages from depending on packages with a lower priority.
