hrwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2011-03-03 09:10 /usr/bin/ld link to ./usr/bin/ld.bfd This causes an unresolvable conflict with hardening-wrapper, which has installed a soft link for "/usr/bin/ld.bfd" to "/usr/bin/hardened-ld". Minimally older versions of "binutils" install a soft link instead of the present hard link, so the fault in all probability lies with "binutils". The present error was detected in kfreebsd-amd64.
