tags 430603 wontfix thanks The recent sid package (>1.2.20) includes scripts in /usr/share/doc/debiandoc-sgml/examples to wrap comments as pargraphs with clear marker before and after using the debiandoc2dbk.
debiandoc2dbk-wrap debiandoc2dbk-unwrap These have some limitations but quite useful for many cases which original bug reporter considered. (I used these for maint-guide conversion). If we were to preserve comments, some serious work in nsgmls or style sheet is needed and that is too much work. For most practical purpose, above scripts are enough. So I am marking this as wontfix.
