Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the driftnet package. The software "driftnet" has not been actively maintained for 10 years. So either we remove it from Debian or someone with basic programming skills steps up and starts maintaining the package. Honestly I'm personally not interested in the software any more.
The package description is: Inspired by EtherPEG, Driftnet is a program which listens to network traffic and picks out images from TCP streams it observes. It is interesting to run it on a host which sees a lot of web traffic. . (Obviously, this is an invasion of privacy of a fairly blatant sort. Also, if you are possessed of Victorian sensibilities, and share an unswitched network with others who are not, you should probably not use it.) -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.8 APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
