Package: zeitgeist-core
Version: 0.4.0+bzr20100718-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Seemingly random database error makes zeitgeist-daemon fail to launch
with the following message:
INFO:zeitgeist.sql:Using database:
/home/arand/.local/share/zeitgeist/activity.sqlite
INFO:zeitgeist.sql:Upgrading database 'core' from version 3 to 1. This
may take a while
CRITICAL:zeitgeist.sql:Failed to upgrade database 'core' from version 3
to 1: No module named core_3_1
Removing ~/.local/share/zeitgeist/activity.sqlite allows normal
functionality (although of course loosing all zeitgesit history)
Also, more interestingly, if I just copy
/usr/share/zeitgeist/_zeitgeist/engine/upgrades/core_0_1.py to
/usr/share/zeitgeist/_zeitgeist/engine/upgrades/core_3_1.py then it
succeds in "cleaning up" the database and runs without errors and
recovered history (after this zeitgeist proceeds as normal if
core_3_1.py is deleted).
