Hi, I get this with Squeeze and Sid, with kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64 and 2.6.37-2-amd64 and with apcupsd 3.14.4, 3.14.5, 3.14.7 and 3.14.8. I have never gotten it in a system that is more than one year old and runs 2.6.32-trunk-686 and 3.14.5-2, but lately I haven't tried.
I switched motherboards on Oct. 19 2010 and never got it on the old motherboard. So you'd think it was the mobo: but this would be the only thing that goes wrong with it: and there are: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04b4:6830 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. So it could be the Back-UPS LS 500: it is from Oct. 2005 and now 5 years old. But why does a reboot clear up the error? A very un-linux reboot is necessary to clear up the error: that 'control queue full' message never goes away and shows up every 10 secs and the root partition won't unmount because it is busy. I am thinking of switching UPS's Regards, Hugo Vanwoerkom
