I've now moved ~/.java/.userPrefs/net/sf/jabref/prefs.xml away and started JabRef (from unstable). And it still doesn't open maximized but with the following values that are written to the config files after quitting: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <!DOCTYPE map SYSTEM "http://java.sun.com/dtd/preferences.dtd"> <map MAP_XML_VERSION="1.0"> <entry key="posX" value="0"/> <entry key="posY" value="0"/> <entry key="pushToApplication" value="Push to OpenOffice"/> <entry key="searchPanelVisible" value="false"/> <entry key="sizeX" value="840"/> <entry key="sizeY" value="680"/> <entry key="windowMaximised" value="false"/> </map> I'll ask upstream if he has some ideas what's going on.
