[Disclaimer: I read the IRC discussion and the mails in this bug report with a few hours' delay. I'm a bit surprised about the tone of the discussion, and I'd rather see it a bit toned down again.] My quick thoughts: - 'kwalitee' is not an unknown word in the context of CPAN but an, IMO, rather well-known technical term. - Therefore I see no urgent reason for explaining it in libtest-strict-perl's description, also because this module is probably not targetted at random end users anyway. - OTOH I know the feeling of being confused when reading unknown-to-me terms in descriptions, and I don't see any harm in adding a short explanation in parentheses (something like '(CPAN quality metrics)' or similar).
