found bugnumber 1.56-3 thanks The previous report was obviously wrong: the version with the bug is 1.56-3, but I submitted the bug report after having installed my patched version, and then forgot to check the automatically filled fields.
By the way, I recently noticed some recurrent instabilities: since I applied those patches, the computer periodically (say 1 time per hour) freezes if running from battery and using wireless. Notice this also happens with the old 2.6.32 kernel (which I'm also using with the patched ndiswrapper). Though I'm not able to backtrace/reproduce reliably (the PC just freezes, and I have to Ctrl+Alt+PrtScr+REISUB), I bet that has something to do with the patches.
