Package: xscreensaver
Version: 5.11-1+b1
Severity: important
Config file:
timeout: 0:10:00
lock: False
timestamp: True
fade: False
unfade: False
mode: one
selected: 0
programs: \
"screensaver" swirl -root \n\
How to reproduce:
1) start "unclutter -idle 0"
2) start "xscreensaver -no-splash"
3) start "xscreensaver-command -activate"
4) wait 10-20 seconds
5) move mouse
Result: Sometimes xscreensaver will not exit immediately, but after 10-100
seconds. During this time you can press keyboard keys and move mouse, but
xscreensaver will not exit immediately and hence lock the workstation. I made
some tests:
1) exited in 3 seconds
2) exited in 0 seconds
3) exited in 45 seconds
4) xscreensaver-command failed to communicate to xscreensaver (so restart it):
$ xscreensaver-command -activate
xscreensaver-command: no response to command.
$ ps aux|grep xscreen
