I tried a third time, this time burning with another software--Magic ISO Maker. 
Same error as all other times.

A related question--I downloaded 64-bit, but when I run the setup programs, 
they are for win32, is that OK?

That sounds like a corrupted media. Have you tried burning the ISO on
another support...maybe using another CD/DVD burner?
