linux-2.6 2.6.12 (source) and linux-image-2.6.12 is in unstable. Watch out, package names have changed. > Looking at the udev .068 package in unstable, it looks like there are > plenty of problems that'll make it quite some time before it is moved to > testing. > > About 585 other packages in testing seem to depend on the testing > version of udev. If we had noticed, we would have prevented this with a dummy RC bug, but it's late now. glibc should enter testing, hopefully, in a week or so. We can only wait for that at this point. > If nothing, could this be rebuilt for testing with the testing version > of udev (.056-3)? Maybe the easiest is to rebuild current udev in a testing box, and install the new kernel from unstable (that won't have any dependency problem). That, or wait. We're really focused on ALSA 1.0.10, so we'd like to keep going. When new versions of glibc get stuck, testing suffers in many ways. This is one of them. :( Jordi -- Jordi Mallach Pérez -- Debian developer http://www.debian.org/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sindominio.net/ GnuPG public key information available at http://oskuro.net/
