Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.37-1 Severity: normal Tags: sid
Since I upgraded to the SID version of 2.6.37 kernel image, I experienced randomly crashes when waking up from suspend to RAM. This crash occurs in the gpu module (i915). The screen indeed "light" up to a black screen, with just a white cursor _ on the top left of the screen, and nothing other than hard reboot can be done. The system manage to write the crash report in log (attached at the end). This problem doesn't seem to occur with the last image from experimental (linux-image-2.6.37-trunk-amd64 version 2.6.37-1). I may just have been lucky with the experimental kernel, as there seems to be only few difference between experimental and SID kernel (the only difference that may be related to the problem is that the SID version do not activate ACPI_PROCFS), but I switched back to experimental kernel and did not experience any freeze until now. Just tell me if you need more informations.
