now it worked. I imported that upstream version into the git repository (which uses the git-dpm scheme, in case you did not know. In that case, you might want to have a look at http://git-dpm.alioth.debian.org/). This automatically rebased all patches, and indeed they applied cleanly. I also changed the version to carry the date, as the 4.3.0 branch does change, and noted the exact hg revision in debian/get-orig-source. Do you agree with that approach? I generate the tarball using hg archive. Also, due to pristine-tar, the exact tarball can be extracted from the git archive. I did not try building yet, I’ll come to that tomorrow.
