Then I changed it to just plain Big5, but then there was lots of
garbage on the screen. And it didn't stop the Gtk-CRITICAL message
either.

Anyway, with UTF Big5 eveything works ok, I just see the ugly message
on the terminal.

Too bad there's no way to find out just which character is bothering
it.

$ addresses > a
$ iconv -f big5 -t utf8 a > u
doesn't give any errors.

True, if I open jpilot on Datebook, which is empty, the error goes away.
