Well, regardless of the fact that libmysqlclient12 might be obsolete
by the time we release etch and rebuilding with libmysqlclient14 might
be desirable anyway, isn't this really a bug in the MySQL server package?

I would like to understand how exactly a program linked to libmysqlclient12
becomes suddenly useless. What about backwards compatibility?

Christian, could you shed some light on this?
