Package: monit
Version: 1:5.2.3-2
Severity: normal

The log file created by monit:

-rw-r----- 1 root root 322 2011-02-17 01:57:53 /var/log/monit.log

As usual, if the permissions are 640, the group should by adm, not root.

Note that /etc/logrotate.d/monit is already correct, by having:

        create 640 root adm

i.e. the problem is only for the initial creation.
