Package: python-sqlalchemy
Version: 0.6.3-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

thanks for packaging sqlalchemy. In dak (the Debian archive kit) we are often
using queries like

  select distinct on (package) * from binaries order by package, version desc;

in our postgresql database where version is a custom type debversion provided
by the postgresql-8.4-debversion package. As far as I know this cannot be
expressed by sqlalchemy's ORM. It would be nice if that would be possible or
maybe some workaround.

Best Regards,
Torsten
