Do you have a rootpwmoddn option in nslcd.conf? This is needed for password modification as root to work. To get more debugging info you can start nslcd with the -d option from the command line. Adding debug at the end of the pam_ldap line in /etc/pam.d/common-* should also provide more information. > I take it then for Squeeze, which has 0.7.13 there is no chance of this being > fixed?
