No, it is not. I would appreciate if you did little research before closing the bug. Or, better, actually know how your own package works.

As a matter of fact, I removed EXTLINUX_DEFAULT from my config, ran extlinux-update and rebooted the machine. extlinux welcomed be with a "Could not find kernel image: 0" message.
