No! The userspace works fine! The vanilla 2.6.32-5 kernel package works fine with Squeeze "cifs-utils" too. The problem is in the very PACKAGE "linux-image-2.6.32-5-openvz-amd64", NOT in KERNEL itself. And the problem is hidden in the very OpenVZ modification of the kernel. The vanilla package is shipped with the right "cifs.ko" module, and the OpenVZ modification of the same package is shipped with the deprecated version of this module. What is unclear? For details see here: http://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2011/02/msg00114.html To reproduce, please boot into OpenVZ modificated kernel and try to mount any CIFS resource. Output and strace will provide some later if necessary. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
