Package: libpcsclite1 Version: 1.6.6-2 Severity: important Hi,
with today's upgrade, libpcsclite1 started depending on pcscd, whereas it previously only suggested it. The dependency list is huge, especially that it pulls in the whole HAL stack is very unfortunate. As wpa_supplicant depends on libpcsclite1 and wpa_supplicant is a dependency of network-manager, we basically have to install hal again on a GNOME desktop when we worked very hard to get rid of it. This is what I get when trying to install wpasupplicant: # apt-get install wpasupplicant Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information...
