Package: grub-pc Version: 1.99~rc1-2 Severity: normal Hi,
If this is the same issue I'm experiencing then I found an interesting workaround: At the grub menu press 'e' (like edit entry) and then press ESC and boot your usual entry (or just press Ctrl+x). This keeps the console usable, reproducible on two different laptops, both with nVidia chipsets and the nvidia proprietary driver.. Hope this helps fix this bug.
