owner 585782 ! thanks I started working on it and plan to upload the new version to experimental after a bit polishing and testing.
As there is a protocol change, it would be nice to get all upstreams of the r-deps to switch to the lastest version as well. sandboxgamemaker already moved[1], I haven't yet looked at the remaining two r-deps supertuxkart and blockattack.
