Package: rancid Severity: wishlist Hi
I updated my rancid system to squeeze today and found that rancid 2.3.3 has major issues with HP Procurve devices and minor issues with fortigate and mrv devices. I found that rancid 2.3.6 is available from shrubbery. I downloaded the tar and patched it with the 2.3.3.-1.diff.gz. After that only the following small changes where needed to build 2.3.6 .deb's: * 2.3.6 has xrrancid so 10_iosxr.dpatch can be removed * as xrrancid is included manpage router.db.5 mentiones it ie small update of 05_man_fixup.dpatch * nrancid ---more--- prompt has been fixed in 2.3.6 so 07_nrancid_bs_paging.dpatch can be stripped to "+ 1 while s/[^[:cntrl:]]\cH//g;" After building this version all my problems are gone.
