Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

On my machine, the latest systemd doesn't start the network, even when
/etc/network/run is a symlink (as advised in README.Debian):

06/02 23:43 /tmp % ll /etc/network/
total 20K
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Dec 12 17:31 if-down.d/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Dec 12 17:31 if-post-down.d/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Dec 12 17:31 if-pre-up.d/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Jan 27 19:09 if-up.d/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root  340 Dec 20 07:36 interfaces
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   16 Dec 19  2007 run -> /dev/shm/network/

Note: the symlink was already there.
