Just for the record, /home/$USER/.config/Recoll.org/recoll.conf contains settings for the recoll Qt GUI and has nothing to do with ~/.recoll/recoll.conf and /usr/share/recoll.conf. It's infortunate that they have the same name. It's a Qt-chosen name, that I could probably have overridden, but it's too late now.
