thanks for commenting on this bug report.

To be precise, conky was not turned into a non-free package, but rather
into one that indirectly (build-)depends on non-free stuff; hence, it
was moved to contrib.

Anyway, thanks for adding your contribution to the discussion and for
agreeing with my opinion.

Indeed. I think that a solution should be really searched for, so that
we may again enjoy a 100 % free conky without any direct or indirect
non-free (build-)dependency.

I hope that Cesare can come up with a good plan...
