Package: iptables
Version: 1.4.8-3
Severity: normal

Iptables command segmentation faults when I give it an empty source address
like in following commands:

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -s "" --dport 1:2 -j ACCEPT
ip6tables -A INPUT -p tcp -s "" --dport 1:2 -j ACCEPT

It should not crash but rather complain about invalid address being given as an
input.
