Package: gtk-recordMyDesktop
Version: 0.3.8-3

Error: man page uses incorrect alsa device specification syntax.
To be precise, "man gtk-recorkMyDesktop" says:

           -device SOUND_DEVICE
                  Sound device(default hw0:0).

When I use "gtk-recordMyDesktop" and set sound device (in advanced options) to be "hw:2,0", I do record sound from alsa device (web camera microphone) nicely. If I write "hw2:0" I get sound card configuration error.

Additional info: man page for "recordmydesktop" doesn't have this error.

I suggest changing this piece to

           -device SOUND_DEVICE
                  Sound device (default hw:0,0).

I use:
    repository: debian testing
    kernel: 2.6.36-2.dmz.5-liquorix-amd64
    libc6: 2.11.2-10.

  Yours sincerely.
  Dmitry V. Romanov
