I'm happy to take the bug report back.
However I think there is something to discuss. Surely this problem
is between the the DNS protocol, the boot sequence and the VPN rather
than any particular implementation of any of the three.
I wonder if you have had this issue with any other services.

Nicolas, if this bug is not openvpn related, or not as much as it is
maraDNS related. Plus, if a solution was already given in the bug
report, I don't know why you should reassign this to openvpn. Please
reasign back, and don't use the bug report to "call for participans".
