Ah, I realize now that there's a good reason you haven't updated Susy: Upstream apparently forgot to tag recent releases - only in commit messages are they mentioned: Current "release" is v0.8.1 from September 2010.

Offer still stand to help maintain the package if ok switching to git.
Same goes for compass.
