Thanks for your report.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem.

I'd guess something goes wrong with playing the .mp3 files, but that is 
just a wild guess.

When starting liferea from a shell, are there any warning messages 
displayed?

Any other indication what might be going wrong?

Does disabling Javascript and browser plugins in the preferences make 
any difference?
