As reported in #491345, when running spamassassin several different errors show up in the logs related to the Mail::SPF perl modules.
I have seen the following Dec 31 00:42:13 spamd2 spamd[12767]: spf: lookup failed: Can't locate object method "new_from_string" via package "Mail::SPF::Mech::IP4" at /usr/share/perl5/Mail/SPF/Record.pm line 225. Jan 5 01:26:51 spamd2 spamd[14089]: spf: lookup failed: Can't locate object method "qualifier_pattern" via package "Mail::SPF::Mech" at /usr/share/perl5/Mail/SPF/Record.pm line 210. Jan 22 03:17:17 spamd2 spamd[23435]: spf: lookup failed: Can't locate object method "new_from_string" via package "Mail::SPF::v1::Record" at /usr/share/perl5/Mail/SPF/Server.pm line 524. I am using libmail-spf-perl version 2.007-1~bpo50+1 (the latest sid/squeeze version backported to lenny). 2.007 seems to be the latest upstream release http://search.cpan.org/~jmehnle/Mail-SPF-v2.007/ In addition to the previous reference in this bug to report to a thread on the SA users list, I also found this one http://www.mail-archive.com/users@spamassassin.apache.org/msg66888.html One reply in that thread claims that a newer Mail::SPF (2.006) might fix the problem, but I'm still seeing it with 2.007 as mentioned above. -- Matt Taggart tagg...@debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
