Thanks for your attention to detail!  I've applied your changes
upstream, with a few general classes of modifications, summarised below:

I prefer to use the .BR alternating macro for this.

There's no point in using .RB if there's no bold text on the line, so
".RB " can just be removed.

Strictly speaking, the space shouldn't be bold either :-), so I moved
"\fB" after "\ ".

It wasn't too onerous to unfuzzy translations (especially not for the
French translation ;-)), so I did so.

I don't mind this sort of nitpicking.  As you say, man-db should
exemplify good practice for manual pages.  (I'd use the mdoc macros if I
could, since I consider them much better practice in general, except
that nobody's made them work nicely with po4a yet!)
