Hi Anibal, I've applied the attached patch to the Ubuntu libpng package to fix this bug. The changelog for this change is: * debian/libpng3.links: fix up the compat symlink to point to /lib. Closes: #579074, LP: #284325. Please apply the fix to Debian as well. I'm not sure if this qualifies for a freeze exception for squeeze, but it's possible that it may - since the libpng3 compat package is currently "completely unusable". -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers maverick-updates APT policy: (500, 'maverick-updates'), (500, 'maverick-security'), (500, 'maverick-proposed'), (500, 'maverick') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.35-24-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
