Package: gitolite Version: 1.5.4-2 Severity: normal When I first installed gitolite, it didn't ask me any setup questions like the README.Debian indicates. This was the output:
Unpacking gitolite (from .../gitolite_1.5.4-2_all.deb) ... Setting up gitolite (1.5.4-2) ... No adminkey given - not initializing gitolite in /var/lib/gitolite. I believe this might be due to the fact that a gitolite user was pre-existing on my system from a manual gitolite install on lenny, but it seems weird that that user would be chosen automatically and then gitolite remains not set up correctly. Running dpkg-reconfigure gitolite does give me a configuration prompt, but according to README.Debian that is for additional users, so I'm not sure what happens there exactly. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gitolite depends on: ii adduser 3.112+nmu2 add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.36 Debian configuration management sy ii git [git-core] 1:1.7.2.3-2.2 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii git-core 1:1.7.2.3-2.2 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii openssh-server [ssh-server 1:5.5p1-6 secure shell (SSH) server, for sec ii perl 5.10.1-17 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction gitolite recommends no packages.
