Package: syslinux Version: 2:4.02+dfsg-7 Severity: minor Hi,
according to Michael Prokop's blog entry [1] the newly introduced grub- imageboot package [2] (maintainer Alexander Wirt CC:ed) adds support for image files in /boot/images, whereas extlinux expects them in /boot. This will result in unexpected behaviour and inconvenience for users when switching from one bootloader to another. Please agree upon a common location for these image files. Cheers, Fabian [1] http://michael-prokop.at/blog/2011/01/07/booting-iso-images-from-within- grub2/ [2] http://ftp-master.debian.org/new/grub-imageboot_0.5.html -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (501, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages syslinux depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-8 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii syslinux-common 2:4.02+dfsg-7 collection of boot loaders (common syslinux recommends no packages.
