Package: wireless-tools Version: 30~pre9-5 Severity: important Tags: upstream
I use: Debian Squeeze; fully updated. In the system is an Intel ipw2200 wireless network card. When I set a wpa-ssid, I only see gibberish as output when typing iwconfig It does not matter whether I set the ssid in /etc/network/interfaces, or type it behind iwconfig (so like: iwconfig eth2 essid <something>) Not sure what else I can give input-wise. I also tried the firmware that intel has: package version 3.0 and 3.1 No difference. Please let me know what to do to provide you the necessary info to get this fixed. best regards, Hendrik-Jan Heins -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages wireless-tools depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libiw30 30~pre9-5 Wireless tools - library wireless-tools recommends no packages. wireless-tools suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
