Package: wireless-tools

Severity: important

I use: Debian Squeeze; fully updated.
In the system is an Intel ipw2200 wireless network card.
When I set a wpa-ssid, I only see gibberish as output when typing iwconfig

It does not matter whether I set the ssid in /etc/network/interfaces, or type
it behind iwconfig (so like: iwconfig eth2 essid <something>)

Not sure what else I can give input-wise.
I also tried the firmware that intel has: package version 3.0 and 3.1 No
difference.

Please let me know what to do to provide you the necessary info to get this
fixed.

best regards,

Hendrik-Jan Heins
