Package: r-base
Version: 2.12.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi Dirk,

Thank you very much for the Herculean effort
you've put into maintaining quantitative packages.

I like the prediction in a 2003 draft of Debian's
R Policy

    [As a] "defense [against conflicts between
    apt-get and update.packages()], it is
    anticipated that future R versions will add a
    new entry record 'Package-Manager: Debian' to
    the installed DESCRIPTION file of each
    package."

If you think it would still be a good idea, please
implement it.

Thanks,
Kingsley
