Package: pimd Version: 2.1.5-2 Severity: normal Hi!
When upgrading pimd while it is not running, I get: Préparation du remplacement de pimd 2.1.5-2 (en utilisant .../pimd_2.1.5-3_amd64.deb) ... Stopping pimd: invoke-rc.d: initscript pimd, action "stop" failed. dpkg : avertissement : le sous-processus ancien script pre-removal a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1 There are two ways to fix this: 1. use 'pimd stop || true' in prerm 2. use --oknodo with start-stop-daemon The second solution seems the one that should be favored. See /etc/init.d/skeleton for a complete example of its use. A workaround is to start pimd before upgrading it. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.36-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pimd depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib pimd recommends no packages. pimd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
