I ran regionset as root from the console, and was shown the following
output:
regionset version 0.1 -- reads/sets region code on DVD drives
ERROR: Could not retreive region code settings of the drive!
Would you like to change the region setting of your drive? [y/n]:n
Firstly there seems to be a typographical error, in that "retreive"
should probably be "retrieve".
Secondly, I believe my drive is RPC-1 / region free, so (depending on
the intention behind the program) I believe it should report "This could
be because your drive is region free." for users that don't understand
that an "ERROR" is a good thing.
I am using etch / testing.
I hope a fix will make using DVDs in Linux less daunting. Thank you,
