Hi, Could you try to provide more info: - Does it still happen on an up-to-date testing/sid? (maybe recent upgrades to audio driver/pulseaudio fixed that) - Does rhythmbox print anything interesting when the bad sound happens? - More info that could help us to reproduce the problem, as it never happens here.
