This should now be working in 0.12.6, at least now we know that is
possible to start bootchart2 in a dracut (from git) initramfs. Have you
already tried to add rdinitrd=/sbin/bootchartd to kernel command line
and it was not working or you were not aware of the feature? Hints on
how dracut is doing that is in bootchart2 README.
