even after using the below suggested option we get the same problem.

i have mounted the novell volume and created a directory with name test.
which is created in uppercase (TEST).
What reports 'nwdir -v DISKHOG.EXE' in the /mnt/test directory? And was
your kernel built with CONFIG_NCPFS_SMALLDOS option ("Lowercase DOS
filenames" under ncpfs submenu) ?
