Yes, then it is a bug in *these* packages, but not in tex-common or texlive-base. If the package uses dh_installtex all will be done with triggers and within tex-common, so no /u/l/s/texmf/ls-R file is generated. If the admin generates ls-R file there by calling mktexlsr by hadn, then by policy we are not allowed to remove that one. > *) http://www.mithril-linux.org/~henrich/debian/mktexlsr.log That does not provide any information but the fact that calling mktexlsr without any argumetn creates /u/l/s/texmf/ls-R, which I already know. I am reducing the severity of this bug, as I don't see anything related to what is really a problem. Please raise it again if you think this is still a bug of tex-common.
