While reviewing desktop-base_6.0.4.tar.gz, I noticed some other issues with the debian/copyright file (as in http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debian-desktop/packages/trunk/desktop-base/debian/copyright?rev=232&sc=0): (a) there's no information about debian-desktop-logo.png (which still has to be fixed as far as DFSG-freeness is concerned, I am reopening #587668 because of this), which is derived (by whom? copyright? license?) from the Debian Open Use Logo (with "Debian", unfortunately, but the "Debian" text has to be dropped) and from the "floating gnu" created by the Nevrax Design Team, which is Copyright (C) 2001 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this image under the terms either: * the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 3 of the License, or (at your option) any later version, or * the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.1 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with the no Invariant Sections, with no Front-Cover Texts and with no Back-Cover Texts. (b) the copyright and license of ./usplash/moreblue-orbit/theme.c and ./usplash/moreblue-orbit/Makefile are not documented in the debian/copyright file (they can be copied from the comments of the files themselves) (c) the debian/copyright file fails to mention that the Nightly and the Moreblue Orbit themes "are both derived from the Debian Open Use Logo without “Debian”"; the same holds for ./backgrounds/debian-blueish-wallpaper.svg, for ./splash/gnome-splash-curves.png, and for ./backgrounds/gnome-debian-sid-wp.{xcf|png} (d) according to ./kdm-theme/moreblue-orbit/GdmGreeterTheme.desktop , Andre Ferreira is not the sole author of the Moreblue Orbit theme: there are also Fathi Boudra and Valessio S. Brito (e) the debian/copyright file fails to mention that ./splash/nightly-splash.{xcf|png} is derived from the GNOME foot logo (copyright? license?); the same holds for ./splash/gnome-debian-sid-splash.{xcf|png} (f) according to ./ksplash-theme/spacefun/Theme.rc there are other authors for the SpaceFun theme, besides Valessio S.
