But smbfs mounts are network mounts. In which case they should not be displayed when -l is asking only for local system mounts. Basically -l, --local is designed to avoid touching the network when a 'df' is done. As a suggeston, you might try using the -x, --exclude-type to exclude the mounts you want to avoid such as nfs so as to include the smbfs mounts that you want to see.
