Hi Josselin, There is an executable /usr/bin/gnome-session dated 24feb2010 size 187.7kb.
I did a dpkg search for gnome-session and it only turned up gnome-session-bin and gnome-session-common. I ran Synaptic Package Manager and it showed:- gnome-session NOT INSTALLED avail. 2.30.2-3 gnome-session-bin inst. 2.28.0-6 avail. 2.30.2-3 gnome-session-common inst. 2.28.0-6 avail. 2.30.2-3 So, I can only ASSUME that at some point Synaptic decided to remove the gnome-session package but leave the binary behind. As I can't see it's "history" list, as I'm running in failsafe mode, I can't tell at what point this occurred. Is this the information you require??
